Finishing and split times in alphabetical order for both Ultimate Trails MTB Challenge events courtesy of SPORTident are posted below. Photographs from our official photographers James Kirby and Paul Almond are now available online.
Quite a few riders were just under (and even over !!) the time limits for the Dead Slow zone through Ambleside, but thanks everyone for riding so slowly. We impressed the Police with the event so this worked well and bodes well for future. No one has been disqualified this year for being outside the Dead Slow time limits - after all, this one was a pilot event and we really appreciate your co-operation with some of our event rules.
Thanks everyone for coming and supporting this first pilot event. Apologies to everyone too as some of our course signs had been removed from the evening before which led to a number of riders going astray. Looks like we would need some extra marshals at key bridleway junctions in future. I hope this didn't detract too much from your enjoyment of the day and I look forward to hearing your feedback and I do plan to reply to everyone personally. Yours in Sport, Graham (Graham Patten, Events Director, Ultimate Trails MTB Challenge, Grasmere)
We want to hear your feedback from the event to help us work on a bigger and better version for 2010. Please email our Event Director Graham and let him know what you thought of the event, the course, the venue, the camping and pretty much everything about the weekend. It is only with your help can we work on improving things for next year - thank you everyone, from the Ultimate Trails team !
